The Community College Board is charged with ensuring that federal Civil Rights laws and policies are complied with at all times at the Agency (MCCB) and at Mississippi's fifteen (15) Community and Junior Colleges. In addition, MCCB promotes overall awareness and understanding of compliance responsibilities at the Community and Junior Colleges on the behalf of the Federal Department of Education and the Office for Civil Rights.
MCCB's compliance activities include:
Periodic workshops for campus compliance officers, Career & Technical Deans, and other college personnel
Annual On-Site Compliance Reviews
Biennial compliance reports to the Federal Office for Civil Rights
